About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern Grad role is a full-time, on-site position based in Farmington, Maine. This role focuses on delivering clinical pharmacy services while supporting pharmacy operations and team management. You will work directly with patients and medical providers to ensure safe medication use and provide preventive healthcare services.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and potential side effects.
- Provide preventive healthcare services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Manage the compounding, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing procedures and inventory management.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions regarding insurance claims or medication access.
- Coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternative therapies.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and stay updated on healthcare developments.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before the start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to complete certification within 90 days of hire.
