About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Bath, Maine. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves a mix of direct customer interaction, medication management, and administrative support to help the pharmacy run efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, and over-the-counter products.
- Perform clinical tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and administering immunizations like flu shots.
- Ensure pharmacy operations follow all regulations and company policies, including opening and closing procedures.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, including insurance claim processing and inventory management.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Build relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff training, hiring, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy information technology and systems to support staff and customers.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
