About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Canton, Georgia. You will work within a retail pharmacy environment to support daily operations, patient care, and staff management. This role involves a rolling term and requires a commitment to professional growth and licensure.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties and system maintenance.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial analysis, and staff training.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance with products and services.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and potential interactions.
- Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and manage third-party audits.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
- Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy information technology and professional standards.
