About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Geneva, Illinois. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in retail, clinical, and wellness services. This role involves working directly with patients, managing pharmacy workflows, and assisting the pharmacy manager with daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, contraindications, and over-the-counter products.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations and flu shots.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial optimization.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and ensure operations follow company policies and regulations.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.

- Compensation: $33.50 to $45.30 per hour, depending on experience and location.
