About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while building your clinical and retail skills. This role involves providing medication consulting to customers, ensuring accurate prescription processing, and working with the pharmacy manager to improve store performance. You will be a key part of the pharmacy team, helping to deliver healthcare services and maintaining an efficient, customer-focused environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including advice on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive health options.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as administering immunizations and flu shots.
- Manage prescription workflows, including compounding, verification, and dispensing medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions or dosages.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy information technology and store systems to support staff and customers.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or the willingness to obtain one prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
