About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in clinical operations and patient care. You will assist the pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations while learning to manage pharmacy systems and deliver customer service. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Process prescriptions by entering data, handling third-party billing, and filling orders.
- Assist pharmacists with patient care services, such as medication therapy management.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle non-clinical telephone calls, including those to physician offices.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
