About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. You will learn pharmacy systems, assist with prescription processing, and help maintain the department. This role provides hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while you complete your education.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and team members in providing patient care and services.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions according to standard operating procedures.
- Engage with customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products or services.
- Manage inventory by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Keep the pharmacy department clean, stocked, and orderly.
- Complete all required training and maintain knowledge of pharmacy practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

- Employment type: Part-time with flexible hours.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
