About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team while gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to assist with daily operations, patient care, and prescription processing. This role is designed to help you build the skills and knowledge necessary for a future career in pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy staff in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to access patient records and drug information.
- Process prescriptions, including entering, filling, and dispensing tasks.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assist with patient counseling and other health services such as medication therapy management.
- Handle telephone calls and register sales at the cash counter.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pharmacy department.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Employment type: Full-time with flexible hours.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
