About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, procedures, and customer service standards while assisting with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while completing your pharmacy education.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and team members in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services, such as medication therapy management.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls and assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Pocatello, Idaho.

- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
