About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy policies, procedures, and service standards while assisting the team in a retail environment. You will gain hands-on experience in prescription processing, inventory management, and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks and operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to access patient information and process prescriptions.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions according to company and legal standards.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services, including medication therapy management and counseling, within your scope of practice.
- Handle inventory tasks such as ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Register sales at the cash register and handle telephone inquiries.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Saint Clair Shores, Michigan.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
