About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, processing prescriptions, and delivering patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and process orders.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services, including medication therapy management, within your state scope of practice.
- Handle inventory management tasks such as ordering, unpacking, and checking shipments.
- Register sales at the cash register and handle telephone inquiries that do not require a pharmacist.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
