About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care and support the pharmacy team under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will gain experience in pharmacy operations, customer service, and clinical tasks while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the practice of pharmacy and support pharmacists in delivering patient care and services.
- Process prescriptions, including data entry, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing.
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and offer assistance with products.
- Handle non-clinical telephone calls, including those to physician offices.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Register sales on the cash register.
- Maintain the pharmacy department to ensure it is clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This position is located in Columbia, South Carolina.
- This is a part-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
- Work is performed on-site.
