About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in retail pharmacy operations. You will support the pharmacy team in delivering patient care while learning company policies and state regulations. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Grandview Heights, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and drug data.
- Provide patient counseling and health services like blood pressure checks and medication therapy management.
- Engage with customers by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering assistance.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following asset protection and safety protocols.
- Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Complete required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
