About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support the daily operations of the pharmacy. You will gain hands-on experience in patient care, prescription processing, and pharmacy management while learning to follow state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering patient care and services within your state scope of practice.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and process prescriptions.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to provide a helpful experience.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Manage inventory tasks, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Process sales transactions on the cash register.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Complete required training to stay current on pharmacy developments and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
