About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a part-time, paid position that offers the chance to learn pharmacy operations, clinical services, and patient care while supporting the daily needs of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Process prescriptions, including data entry, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient and drug information.
- Deliver patient care services within your state scope of practice, such as patient counseling and health services.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle cash register transactions and assist customers in the OTC aisle.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Handle telephone calls and report any prescription errors immediately.
- Adhere to the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Complete ongoing training to stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
