About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting the pharmacy team in a retail setting. You will learn to navigate pharmacy systems and follow state and federal regulations while providing care to patients. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Process prescriptions and obtain patient and drug information using pharmacy systems.
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy staff with daily operations and patient services.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Manage cash register transactions and handle incoming telephone calls.
- Support inventory management tasks, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A flexible schedule that includes availability for evening and weekend hours.
