About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. You will follow state and federal regulations to support the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care and health services within your state scope of practice.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
- Complete all required training programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
