About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to learn pharmacy operations and patient care. You will assist the pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations while developing your skills for a future career as a pharmacist. This is a part-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Engage with customers and patients to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle cash register transactions and telephone inquiries.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Complete all required training and assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on skills, education, and experience.
