About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Graduate Intern position based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will work on-site, engaging in post-graduate pharmacy activities under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to meet State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing pharmacy financials and inventory management.
- Deliver preventive healthcare services, including immunizations and diabetes awareness.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Support the pharmacy team through staff training and hiring assistance.
- Communicate corporate health and wellness strategies to pharmacy staff.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
- A Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
- An intern permit or certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy, if required in your jurisdiction.
- A commitment to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of completing your intern hours.
- Current status as a Certified Immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
