About the role#
Wagner College is seeking a Lifelong Learning ACUHO-I Intern for the summer of 2026. This full-time, on-site role focuses on residential facilities management and guest services. The intern will work under the supervision of the Director of Lifelong Learning and the Director of Residential Education to support campus operations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Residential Education and Lifelong Learning to address guest concerns and maintain high service standards.
- Supervise the Conference Assistant team, including managing payroll, work schedules, and serving as the primary point of contact for problem solving.
- Coordinate conference logistics, including room set-ups, breakdowns, room changeovers, and laundry services.
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures, including key management and coordination with Public Safety and Dining Services for room and meal plan assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of room assignments, report facility damages, and oversee linen inventory and quality control.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and assist with campus events as needed.
- Ensure guest health and safety by following medical protocols and serving as a mandated reporter.
What you'll need#
- Experience in residential life, student affairs, conference operations, or hotel guest management.
- Demonstrated leadership, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving expertise.
- A customer service orientation and an interest in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage large amounts of data, preferably using Google Drive.
- Preferred experience includes student supervision and training in cultural competence.
- Must be accepted into a graduate program.
- Relevant academic backgrounds include Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources.

- Term: Summer 2026 (June through August).

- Compensation: This position is paid with a $3,000 stipend, on-campus housing, a full meal plan, and a subway card.
