About the role#
Vinfen offers internship opportunities within our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division. You will work alongside teams that provide community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions and behavioral health needs. This role allows you to gain direct experience in human services and social work while observing the daily responsibilities of mental health professionals. Internships typically last between 3 and 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Provide community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions and behavioral health needs.
- Work alongside teams in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division.
- Explore and gain experience with human services and social work.
- Assist mental health professionals with day-to-day responsibilities.
What you'll need#
- You are earning college credit and working towards a collegiate degree in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Human Resources, or Nursing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with virtual conferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to attend and complete in-person meetings and responsibilities.
- Willingness to sign and follow the terms of a non-disclosure agreement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Cultural sensitivity, compassion, reliability, and flexibility.
- Ability to pass a CORI and a multistate background check.
