About the role#
This is a full-time, 10-week summer internship within the Verizon Finance Controllership organization. You will work on real-time projects that provide exposure across the company. The program is designed for students who want to build technical and financial skills while collaborating with mentors across different business units.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects that the business relies on daily.
- Build an expense agent dashboard using automation and AI tools.
- Develop a detailed energy rates forecasting tool using code and AI.
- Create credit-driven growth initiatives by linking data source systems.
- Participate in structured networking and executive events in Basking Ridge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program (Accounting, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, or related) with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Good academic standing.
- Experience with predictive analytics, data architecture, and AI frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGPT, Google Gemini, NotebookLM, Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Copilot.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in written and verbal formats.
- Experience driving cross-functional projects and a track record of rapid skill acquisition.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel and relocate if necessary.
Location & details#
- Location: Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
- Modality: Hybrid (includes work from home and assigned office days).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June to August).
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Eligible for 401(k) savings plan with company match and holiday pay.
