About the role#
ventureLAB is seeking an IT Coordinator Project Intern to lead a digital infrastructure initiative. You will work under the guidance of the IT lead on a 16-week roadmap to optimize internal workflows, manage devices, and improve technical support for staff and incubator members. This role is based in Markham, Ontario, and requires 35 hours per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Audit internal hardware, software licenses, and cloud assets to build an updated inventory.
- Improve IT support ticketing processes by identifying recurring issues and creating automated self-service guides.
- Document and refine technical workflows for onboarding and offboarding staff.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity, audio/visual equipment, and workstation readiness in the Innovation Space Centre.
- Research and draft internal IT security documentation and best-practice guides.
What you'll need#
- Practical experience with hardware troubleshooting and network fundamentals like Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN.
- Familiarity with enterprise cloud administration including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple technical priorities.
- Clear, empathetic communication skills for supporting non-technical users.
- Interest in hardware technology, IT operations, and the Canadian startup ecosystem.
Location & details#
- Location: Markham, Ontario.
- Work modality: On-site, 5 days a week.
- Term: 16 weeks.
- Compensation: A monthly travel and meal allowance of up to $1,000 is available for this paid internship.
