About the role#
ventureLAB is seeking two Government & External Relations Interns to support strategic stakeholder initiatives. You will work on projects that bridge public policy research, international delegation logistics, and stakeholder database management. This role provides an opportunity to build a professional portfolio while working directly with our team in Markham.
What you'll do#
- Research and draft a policy briefing dossier that analyzes regional tech regulatory changes and their impact on the Canadian deep-tech sector.
- Create a standardized briefing kit and logistics template to help host international trade and government delegations.
- Audit public-sector stakeholder data to build and organize a categorized tracking matrix within Salesforce and G-Suite.
- Prepare policy memos, executive presentation decks, and summaries of industry trends for intergovernmental strategy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a post-secondary program in Political Science, Public Administration, Business, Economics, or Public Affairs.
- An interest in public policy, corporate strategy, and intergovernmental tech relations.
- Strong research and writing skills to synthesize complex regulatory information into clear briefs.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheets, CRM tools like Salesforce, Google Drive, or standard policy research methods.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Markham, Ontario, five days a week.
- The position is paid and includes a travel and meal allowance of up to $1,000 per month, issued via semi-monthly reimbursements.
