About the role#
As a Purchasing Intern, you will contribute to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. This is a rolling, year-round internship. You will work on a part-time basis during the school year and transition to full-time hours throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the selection, qualification, and evaluation of suppliers for various commodities and services.
- Support the negotiation of contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Prepare and analyze RFQs and RFPs.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define purchasing needs and optimize supply chain processes.
- Maintain and update purchasing databases and systems.
- Participate in cost reduction projects and value analysis initiatives.
- Support the implementation of purchasing strategies and policies.
- Generate reports and provide analysis on purchasing activities, market trends, and supplier performance.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a student enrolled in courses working toward a Business Degree or a related field.
