About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-month internship based in Hamilton, Ohio. You will work 32 to 40 hours per week supporting our site Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) operations.
What you'll do#
- Ensure site operations meet all Valeo Group requirements.
- Verify that safety and security equipment remains in compliance.
- Conduct risk analyses and monitor regulatory surveys.
- Help establish and oversee site HSSE procedures.
- Perform inspections and internal audits, then manage the implementation of recommended actions.
- Assist in monitoring and resolving any non-compliance issues found during audits.
- Track developments in relevant legislation.
- Update Safety Data sheets.
- Perform ergonomic and PPE assessments.
- Review and update Safety and Environmental work instructions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program related to environmental or occupational safety, or an expected graduation date in April or May 2026.
- Preferred coursework in equipment lockout/tagout, chemical safety, or OSHA/EPA standards.
