About the role#
This application is exclusively for students enrolled in the Troops 2 Transportation program. As a driver, you are a vital face of the organization, responsible for maintaining integrity, reliability, and strong relationships with our customers while safely transporting and delivering products.
What you'll do#
- Safely operate trucks to meet scheduled customer delivery times.
- Unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and place them in designated customer storage areas.
- Verify delivery accuracy with customers, obtain required signatures, and handle collections or payments when necessary.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
- Provide professional customer service to enhance the client experience.
- Work in various weather conditions with frequent stops, typically 10 or more per shift.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ lbs of product repetitively throughout your shift.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid CDL Class A issued by your state of legal residence, including all necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months of commercial driving experience specifically in the food and beverage delivery industry.
- Ability to read and communicate in English, including the ability to understand traffic signs, respond to official inquiries, and complete required records and reports.
- Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred and may be required in specific locations.

- This is a full-time, on-site role with rolling start dates.
