About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will focus on analyzing, designing, and optimizing production processes. You will work to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across our operations. This role involves building data-driven methods for capacity management and factory simulation to support growth and efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Learn the details of our manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, test, and automation.
- Create and own factory and line simulation models using digital tools.
- Run production scenarios to assess how demand changes, new products, or staffing levels impact throughput and lead time.
- Build capacity models to track current execution and future manufacturing demand.
- Update Work Instructions and document standard work to support cross-training.
- Support CAD updates for plant floor layouts.
- Design tooling and fixturing to optimize production.
- Collaborate with the shop floor, planning, and engineering teams to gather data and refine processes.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- You have a strong interest in manufacturing technologies and hands-on experience with hardware.
- You have the ability to learn new software, including CAD, simulation, and business applications.
- You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in aerospace, oil and gas, chemical processing, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
- You must be a U.S. Person, which includes U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.
- You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
