About the role#
Ursa Major is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support our team with internal and external brand initiatives. This is a paid internship for students pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or graphic design. You will work closely with the Marketing & Social Media Content Manager and report to the Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications. This role requires you to be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
What you'll do#
- Draft content for internal newsletters, blog posts, press releases, and social media.
- Create visual assets including slide decks, flyers, signage, and merchandise designs.
- Support the development of external advertising and marketing collateral.
- Contribute to social media strategy by drafting posts and creating graphics or short-form video.
- Help maintain our website through design refinements and content updates.
- Assist with trade show preparation, digital asset management, and swag procurement.
- Provide general administrative support, including project tracking, note-taking, and scheduling.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas to ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current junior or senior status in a marketing, communications, public relations, or graphic design program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience writing for different audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word, and Canva.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is strongly preferred.
- Experience with design tools, branding, or social media platforms through academic projects, student organizations, or personal portfolios.
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Berthoud, Colorado.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring 1 to 2 days on-site each week.
- You will work up to 20 hours per week during the Summer 2027 term.
- Compensation is $30.00 per hour.
