About the role#
Ursa Major is hiring a People Operations Intern for a full-time, on-site role during Summer 2027 in Berthoud, Colorado. You will gain hands-on experience across HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, and learning and development. This position is a paid opportunity for students to contribute to projects that support our propulsion and defense systems mission.
What you'll do#
- Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, and resume screening.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring teams.
- Maintain our ATS and ensure data accuracy across recruitment pipelines.
- Create employer branding content for social media and job boards.
- Conduct market research on talent trends and best practices.
- Support the coordination of career fairs and campus recruiting events.
- Prepare onboarding materials and welcome kits for new hires.
- Coordinate orientation sessions and track onboarding progress.
- Gather feedback to improve onboarding and offboarding experiences.
- Support the tracking and organization of performance review cycles.
- Update employee records and assist with data reporting.
- Assist in employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities.
- Research and curate learning content and training resources.
- Coordinate internal workshops, training sessions, and lunch and learns.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in talent acquisition, business partnering, and employee experience.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems or HRIS.
- Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
