About the role#
Uplinq is seeking a full-time Tax Prep Intern to join our tax team. This role is designed for high-potential accounting students or recent graduates who want to gain experience at the intersection of tax and automation. You will work alongside our tax team on real preparation tasks and gain hands-on exposure to the tools used in modern compliance workflows. Strong performance may lead to future full-time opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and state tax returns across various entity types.
- Organize and review client tax documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with data cleanup and the preparation of workpapers using Excel.
- Learn and utilize automation tools to support compliance workflows and minimize manual entry.
- Maintain organized, filing-ready client data to support the senior tax team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting.
- Clear intent to sit for the CPA exam and obtain licensure.
- Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on recurring tasks.
- Full-time availability Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
