About the role#
This is a paid, year-round internship based in Portland, Maine. You will gain experience in a professional office setting while supporting business functions like operations, strategy, project management, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a minimum nine-month commitment and availability to work at least 15 hours per week during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
What you'll do#
- Provide high-quality transactional support with a focus on productivity, accuracy, and customer service.
- Build effective partnerships and collaborate across various business areas.
- Act as a team player by backing up peers, addressing conflict constructively, and exchanging feedback.
- Adhere strictly to privacy guidelines.
- Handle other duties as assigned or as opportunities arise.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year college degree program or an MBA program.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework is preferred.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0, either in your major or overall.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Openness to mastering new tasks and participating in a culture of coaching and feedback.
- Successful completion of a background check.
