The Graphic Designer for Student Media creates visual content to meet commercial and promotional needs. This role involves developing layouts, displays, and logos while working with clients and supervisors to refine concepts and final designs.
What you'll do#
- Create concepts and sample layouts using layout principles and design aesthetics.
- Develop graphics for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
- Use computer software to generate new images and artwork.
- Review final designs and suggest improvements.
- Research new software and emerging design concepts.
- Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and in-house marketing plans.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current University of Wyoming student.
- Proficiency in Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with design software including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong creativity and innovation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of current marketing and graphic design trends.
