About the role#
The University of Wyoming is hiring a Safety and Laboratory Student Technician to support the campus Safety Office. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Laramie. The role is offered on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
You will work directly with the Chemical Safety Specialist to maintain campus safety standards. Your primary tasks include:
- Conducting routine laboratory inspections.
- Performing inspections for safety eyewash stations and showers.
- Testing fume hoods to ensure proper function.
- Calibrating survey instruments.
What you'll need#
We look for candidates who have a background in safety or environmental work and solid computer skills. You should also have a valid driver's license that meets the university's motor vehicle record requirements. Knowledge of general chemistry, biology, or physics is preferred.
Location & details#
This position is located on-site in Laramie, Wyoming. You must be available to work on campus to perform your duties.
