About the role#
The Student and Faculty Support Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, and guests within the Academic College. This role supports student retention and graduation efforts by providing accessible assistance and connecting individuals with campus resources. You will work on-site in an office environment to ensure administrative operations run smoothly and that students receive timely support.
What you'll do#
- Welcome students and external guests, answering questions about classes, registration, and campus resources.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new faculty members.
- Monitor student employee funds and approve timesheets for faculty supervisors.
- Collaborate with unit leaders to implement curriculum into the Curriculum Workflow system.
- Hire and train 5-12 student employees on front-desk responsibilities and office procedures.
- Maintain accurate records for accreditation, compliance, and student interactions.
- Support faculty with administrative tasks, travel authorizations, and course scheduling.
What you'll need#
- High school degree.
- 1-2 years of student-facing experience in higher education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work with accuracy in a busy office environment.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
