About the role#
The University of Guelph is hiring a Co-op Job Developer to join the Experiential Learning department. This role focuses on expanding employment opportunities for students. You will work to secure new co-op positions and support employers through their first hiring cycles. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Guelph, Ontario, for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Find and secure new co-op student employment opportunities.
- Manage the retention and transition of new employers from registration through their first full employment cycle.
- Record and report all interactions and outcomes in the official system.
- Represent the University of Guelph and the Co-operative Education program at external events.
- Improve business development processes and technology to increase efficiency and results.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in a related field.
- Several years of experience in employer development and sales, preferably in a business-to-business environment.
- Proven sales and relationship management skills, including a record of generating and converting leads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional interactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for tracking and reporting.
- Experience supporting diverse communities and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work well within a team.
