About the role#
This 12-week summer internship at our Pontiac, Michigan headquarters offers an immersive look into the financial services technology sector. You will join one of our IT teams to develop and enhance our internal software solutions. This program focuses on professional growth through hands-on project work, networking with peers, and contributing to community outreach. We do not offer remote or hybrid work for this position.
What you'll do#
- Build experience with technologies like C#, React, Kafka, Vue.js, Swift, and Java.
- Learn object-oriented programming and the software development life cycle.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and the development of security plans.
- Collaborate on a cohort project with other interns, including presenting progress to technology leaders.
- Participate in Scrum rituals such as standups, planning, and retrospectives.
- Improve internal processes and workflows by sharing ideas and suggestions.
- Engage in off-site team-building activities and a community charity project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 17th to August 6th.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to accept and apply feedback.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
