About the role#
The Trust & Custody Operations department supports the Corporate Trust and Institutional Custody lines of business at UMB Bank. This team handles back-office functions for a large institutional client base, including data entry, processing payments, and managing client holdings. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in these operational processes.
What you'll do#
- Process wire payments for scheduled principal and interest payments.
- Manage payment adjustments, wire instruction changes, and address changes.
- Perform transfers of ownership for securities and set up new accounts.
- Facilitate global and domestic trade activity and monitor settlements.
- Initiate domestic and foreign money movements.
- Provide requested reporting and support documentation for audit requests.
- Resolve operational issues and track them through to completion.
- Follow department policies to mitigate risk.
- Work with your manager on personal development and self-evaluation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program.
- Academic focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
