About the role#
As a CAS Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in client accounting advisory services. This role provides exposure to real-world accounting practices and client interactions. You will contribute to accurate financial reporting for a diverse group of clients while working under the guidance of senior staff.
What you'll do#
- Reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Use accounting software to input and verify financial data.
- Prepare financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to analyze data and provide insights.
- Participate in client meetings to gather information and offer support.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all accounting activities.
- Assist in identifying financial trends and discrepancies.
- Attend training sessions to build your understanding of accounting concepts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in accounting or finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Up to one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to perform desk work and computer tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
