About the role#
As a Student Driver Recruiter, you will manage the end-to-end hiring process for new drivers. You will source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure they meet company guidelines and DOT regulations. This role requires a balance of administrative precision and strong interpersonal skills to guide applicants through the hiring process.
What you'll do#
- Own the recruitment cycle, from initial sourcing to extending offers.
- Review background checks, including MVR, DAC, and criminal history.
- Explain OTR and Dedicated job openings to potential candidates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compensation, training programs, and benefits.
- Partner with leadership to solve recruiting challenges and manage hiring expectations.
- Use de-escalation skills when communicating difficult hiring decisions.
- Enter driver data accurately into TenStreet.
- Promote company programs and communicate our mission to applicants.
- Collaborate with the team and attend in-person meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a call center, inside sales, or a similar environment.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to build rapport over the phone and communicate clearly.
- Sound judgment and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivation and a detail-oriented mindset.
- A willingness to learn, iterate, and adapt to organizational changes.

- The role involves both on-site and remote engagement.
- This is a full-time, paid position with rolling enrollment.
