About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring a Summer Intern for our Albany location. This full-time position runs from May or June through August 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, with shifts varying based on project needs. The role provides hands-on experience in construction management, project financials, safety protocols, and quality control.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, file management, material tracking, and meeting coordination.
- Assist in collecting and reviewing information for submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Attend project site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Help prepare estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.
- Assist with project close out preparations.
- Provide progress reports to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration programs.
- A willingness to learn about construction management and apply academic knowledge to field work.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and staff.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and expectations.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

- This position is based on-site in Albany, New York.
- The role is paid at an hourly rate of $20.00 to $25.00.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
