About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Operational Finance team at Turner Construction Company to apply your academic studies to real-world business scenarios. You may work from a construction job site or an office location supporting multiple projects. This role does not offer sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Support daily financial management tasks such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger activities.
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and monitoring operational performance metrics.
- Validate project cost coding and compare invoices against project cost structures.
- Prepare journal entries to assist with the month-end close process.
- Use AI technology and automation tools to help improve financial workflows and reporting processes.
- Participate in training sessions, meetings, and site visits to build your knowledge of construction accounting.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- You can collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
- You have a commitment to building professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and business partners.
- You are willing to participate in all program training and learning opportunities.
