About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring for a Summer 2027 internship in Orlando. This full-time, paid position offers students the chance to gain practical experience in construction management, project financials, and safety protocols. You will work on an active project site or within a department to support the project lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, file management, and material tracking.
- Assist with the collection and review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies for project items.
- Help with project start-up and close-out preparations.
- Coordinate meetings and provide progress reports to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an academic program related to Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions and understand project site signage.
- Willingness to learn about construction management processes.
- Commitment to maintaining professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and staff.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and the ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
