About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring a Finance Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Memphis, Tennessee. You will participate in a structured program designed to apply academic knowledge to real-world business scenarios. You may work at a construction job site or in an office supporting multiple projects.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day financial management across accounting functions like Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
- Contribute to data collection, reporting, and analysis efforts.
- Assist with process improvements for budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
- Review billing details against client contractual requirements for accuracy.
- Assist with analyzing budgets and reallocating costs through the preparation of journal entries.
- Gain exposure to AI-enabled tools and data analytics to support financial reporting and efficiency.
- Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Foundational knowledge in Operational Finance and accounting fundamentals.
- Understanding of project finance concepts, construction accounting principles, earnings, and revenue recognition.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage time.
- Compliance with company and Finance policies regarding financial reporting.
