About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring a Finance Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will provide financial services support to profit centers by assisting with accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and reconciliation.
What you'll do#
- Assist the accountant to ensure client contractual requirements are met for billing and accounts receivables.
- Process accounts payable for vendor and subcontractor invoices to keep project accounts up to date.
- Work with the accountant to verify that lien waivers, contracts, and insurance requirements are in place.
- Help complete the monthly close process by ensuring client bills and project costs are posted.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Handle data entry for vendor invoices and prepare multi-project invoices.
- Manage administrative tasks like vendor setup, updates, sales and use tax reporting, and collecting client tax exempt certificates.
- Compile supporting invoice backup for owner applications for payment.
- Provide periodic progress reports to your supervisor.

- Ability to apply academic knowledge to a professional setting.
