About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on an active project site or within a department to build foundational knowledge in project coordination, safety protocols, and subcontractor relations. This position is a full-time, paid opportunity designed to help you apply your academic studies to real-world construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, file management, material tracking, and meeting coordination.
- Assist with project start-up activities and close-out preparations.
- Collect and review information for submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies for project items.
- Communicate with Architects, Engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to track job schedules.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs and follow all site safety protocols.
- Attend project site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Prepare and distribute information regarding contract requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, customers, and subcontractors.
- Participate in required training, meetings, and orientation sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program, specifically in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- At least one year of completed education.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A strong desire to work in construction management.
- Ability to commit to standard business hours and overtime as required.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and comprehend written project information.
