About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Winter 2027 based in Huntsville, Alabama. You will work on-site to build foundational knowledge in construction management, project financial management, and safety protocols. The role is designed to help you apply academic knowledge to active construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, and file management.
- Assist with the collection and review of information for shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
- Attend project site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Help prepare estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.
- Monitor contractor compliance with the company safety program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in academic studies related to construction, such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A willingness to learn about construction management and follow project site signage.
- Ability to participate in all required training, meetings, and orientation sessions.
- Readiness to wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) at all times while on-site.
