About the role#
As a Construction Intern at Turner Construction Company, you will gain hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on an active project site or in a main office, supporting project teams while building your knowledge of financial management, safety protocols, and project lifecycles. This role is designed to help you apply your academic studies to real projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, file management, and material tracking.
- Assist with the collection and review of information for submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information.
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies for project items.
- Assist with project close-out preparations.
- Coordinate meetings and provide progress reports to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to apply academic knowledge to daily work activities.
- Willingness to participate in training, meetings, and orientation sessions.
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions and understand project site signage.
- Commitment to safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
