About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Cincinnati. You will work on-site to build foundational knowledge in construction management, project safety, and subcontractor relations. This role is designed to help you apply academic learning to real-world construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with meeting coordination, file management, and document control.
- Assist with processing shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information.
- Help prepare estimates for changes in work and distribute contract information.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs and wear required PPE.
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Communicate with trades and subcontractors to track job schedules.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out preparations.
- Provide progress reports to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university program, with at least one year of completed education.
- A major in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in construction management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Availability to work standard business hours and overtime as needed.
