About the role#
This summer internship offers practical experience in construction management. You will work on an active project site or in a main office, supporting the team with daily operations and project lifecycle tasks. This role is designed to help you apply your academic knowledge to real-world construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in day-to-day supervised construction activities.
- Support the project team with material tracking, document control, file management, and meeting coordination.
- Provide regular progress reports to your supervisor.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and staff.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out preparations.
- Help process shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Participate in site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Prepare estimates and quantity take-offs.
- Comply with all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and orientations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program, such as Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- At least one year of completed education.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in construction management.
- Ability to work standard business hours and overtime when required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional accountability for your own actions.
